You don't have to have the worlds greatest product to make money selling your handmade items. You just have to have the right price and reach the right audience. I see people with inferior and/or simple products that make a fortune and have a ton of sales. (Excluding those damn resellers we all can't stand)I also see people with wonderfuly high quality and complex items of the same nature not selling even enough to cover their costs and time.
The difference is in how the items are marketed. You can't put up an Etsy shop and expect the people to buy. It takes a lot of time, effort and networking to get yourself seen. There are so many resources out there to help! My next post will be a list of links I found to be really helpful. Stay tuned!
